Designing this living room with the right mix of Asian influence and American style was a challenge and a pleasure. The selection of a unique rug with a chain link design began the process, followed by a drapery treatment designed to emphasize the 14-foot high ceilings. The graceful form of an Asian influenced, lacquered linen cocktail table from J. Robert Scott centers the room, while simple lines dominate the sofas and curved forms of the chairs.
